Marquita Granda was born and raised on Kaua’i. She completed her BS in Nursing and BA in Spanish at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa where she also continued on to graduate school. Marquita has a strong interest in working with marginalized populations, including those who struggle with chemical dependency. In 2020, she lost her younger brother to addiction, and through the years of accompanying him in recovery, she grew deeply compassionate for people who struggle with substance use disorders.
